This is not just about dancing. It's about fun and fundraising!

Funding is raised by placing votes of $5.00 each for the dancing couple of your choice. Voting closes with the live performance the night of the event.

Kelly is a Berks County Native having attended Fleetwood High School. She spent most of her life dancing starting at a young age and continuing through high school. Kelly now teaches dance classes at Academy of Movement of the Yocum Institute. Kelly graduated from Penn State University where she studied History and Political Science and received her Master's degree in History from Villanova University. She currently teaches Government and Politics at Wilson where she tries to instill excitement about our government into her 11th graders. Kelly is currently pursuing her love of American Government by running for the Pennsylvania State House of Representatives this year. She hopes to get your vote on the dance stage AND the debate stage!

Greg is a California native who moved to PA in high school. Greg went on to receive a Bachelor's Degree in Physics and a Master's in Education from Kutztown University. He currently teaches Physics at Wilson. Greg is an avid rugby player, playing throughout High School and College. Greg also went on to coach the Women's Rugby team at Kutztown University. He loves snowboarding, mountain biking and white water rafting. While he is not the dancer of the family, he is looking forward to his performance debut!

In their free time, Greg and Kelly enjoy traveling, working out, being outdoors and spending time with their son.

Dancing with the Reading Stars raises money necessary to support on-going operations, scholarships, productions, and our many outreach and offsite programs – 50% of which are provided at little or no cost to the community. In addition to its onsite classes and preschool, Yocum Institute outreach and offsite programs impact 30,000 people each year. 80% are under the age of 18 and 50% of those Yocum serves are considered at risk population. Although many do not realize it, Yocum is much more than the bricks and mortar of the building located at 3000 Penn Avenue. Yocum develops and runs programs throughout Berks County.

Thank you for your generosity in supporting the arts!
